Seattle Washington, is one of the safest places in the country to suffer a heart attack. Every student in their school system cannot get a hight school degree unless they complete a CPR course. It is mandatory. They have the lowest death rate on any city in the United States. If we could get the schools to teach the Emergency Medical Technician Course we may be able to get more volunteers. Thanks for that idea for us to start working on. Recruitment and Retention of Volunteers is very difficult for all agencies. Training is expensive and if the person completes the training and then leaves it becomes very expensive. But we will prevail and not give up trying to recruit people. Please keep sending any ideas you have. Mark down my email address and feel free to drop me a line anytime. Friday will be here real soon and this comment section will be going to the archives. Please feel free to stop by your local firehouse and ambulance building and look around, ask questions, see what you can do to offer your services. We would love to visit with you anytime."Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
