Local Citizen Corps Council Video Now Available

One of the main activities of local Citizen Corps Councils is to increase awareness in the community to help citizens become better prepared and trained to help their fellow neighbors in a major emergency or disaster.

This an example of some of the outreach we did locally.

The video is being shown on the local government television station and can be shared with community groups.

The video is good, but this is another example of some non-core organizations not getting any attention. The Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and other organizations appear on the county website but are not mentioned at all in the video.

How many people will know to watch that video?

The video is available to all 1.3 million residents of Fairfax County.

It is not our responsibility to get people to watch it. We can take a horse to water but do not force them to drink it.

All Fairfax County residents have access to fairfaxcounty.gov

The video is there.
