Here are some of the places articles or references can be found.

I like the headline, Stop Drop and Roll over to read this blog!

I second the first comment. You do great stuff for our community. You are not about making it look good on paper. You make it happen!

I picked up a CD from OEM at my church that had a Citizen Corps sheet. Can you explain to me why Public School, Radio Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and other groups were not included in it? I know Andy raised this before but the brochures are still handed out to the churches and community groups. Everyone should have equal time. Recycle the CDs and start over!

You got it wrong. Look at the CDs. The brochures are generic government brochures with a county logo slapped on. That must be why they are not listed.

The PIO of OEM spent a lot of time. Show her some respect. It takes a certain skill to organize all that stuff.

Organize material on a CD. A skill that a PIO should have. Promote the PIO.

Get real.

Are you trying to justify the position? Cut it in the next budget. Give the work to the Office of Public Affair. Time to tighten the belts and consolidation.

The PIO job should focus on getting the message to the residents. Thats what PIO means. Go to the lobby and ask the next 10 absentee voters who come in if they know about being prepared. That is who yall work for.

To my surprise, good session last night.

The number of people who volunteer you gave were very high. Will all those people really volunteer when they are needed? Lucky if you get ten percent.

People with no training will probably want to help. So you do have a saving grace. Not enough focus on what to do there.

All that withstanding, this was a good photo op for preparedness month. You rock!

Thumbs up Fairfax CERT. You were the only organization with a volunteer to speak!
